Shrinky-dink Rings

I saw a link to shrinky dink ring tutorial a while back on the Craft magazine blog, the original link (from PlanetJune) appears to be down. I tried it out a couple of days ago. Below are my three best attempts. It took a bit of trial and error to get the right length. I tried to measure and multiply by 3, since final shrinky dink products should be about 1/3 the original size, but they all seemed a little long, which is evidenced by the wrap around ring in the picture.

I really loved the one on my pinky – it was an overlapping lines doodle, which is one of my favorite doodles when I am bored out of my mind, but also really cool. Unfortunately, just a tiny bit too small for my ring finger, but way to big for my pinky. Le sigh.

So far, the rings are still in a crude state, with sharp edges. I can’t seem to find my stash of sandpaper, so they might be on hold for a little bit. It figures that the only one that fits really well has my sister’s name on it. Hopefully it fits her well too!

on a subject which has been discussed for many years.

Howdy are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the
blog world but I’m trying to get started and set up my
own. Do you need any coding knowledge to make your own blog?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
